Bulk Earthworks Approved,

After years of planning and preparation, receiving bulk earthworks approval — and seeing machinery on the ground — marks a significant milestone in the delivery of Horizon Living. Much of this work happens behind the scenes, but it lays the foundation for everything that follows, from internal roads and underground services through to future home construction and shared community facilities.

The approval process reaffirmed the strength of the project’s engineering and planning, with permits approved exactly as lodged. With works now underway, the focus has shifted from planning to delivery, and meaningful progress is beginning to take shape on site.

Over the months ahead, you’ll see roads formed, building pads prepared, and the early foundations laid for what will become Gympie’s premier over-50s lifestyle community.

We’re proud to officially welcome Carruthers Contracting to the Horizon Living team.

Carruthers is a family-run business with more than 40 years’ experience, based on the Sunshine Coast and deeply embedded in the Gympie civil construction landscape. They are known for delivering high-quality outcomes and taking a collaborative, solutions-focused approach — working alongside developers and builders to achieve the best result, not simply ticking boxes.

We have complete confidence in Carruthers’ ability to deliver a high-quality and timely civil program, helping ensure Stage 1 and the clubhouse remain on track as construction progresses.

AUSMAR Homes — A True Partnership

 Our journey with AUSMAR Homes began more than 18 months ago. Since then, we’ve built a strong relationship grounded in trust, aligned values, and a shared vision: to deliver high-quality, low-maintenance homes that genuinely elevate over 50sliving in Gympie.
